Joseph Anthony Barton is an English football coach and former professional football player. He is best known for playing as a midfielder in the Premier League.
Barton played 269 Premier League matches, with 130 appearances for Manchester City. He also played for clubs such as Olympique de Marseille, Burnley, and Rangers. His main position throughout his playing career was midfielder.
After his playing career, Barton became a football coach. He most recently managed Bristol Rovers, a League One team, from 2021 to 2023.
